Class Description
Welcome to Floorwork Basics! This class is an amalgamation of several forms of floor movement divested into an hour-and-a-half class! We will start with a warm up to strengthen and stretch your bodies for the across the floor. Then the class will consist of basic floorwork drills and movements taken from breaking, capoeria, flying low, and classical modern dance, to lead into larger strings of movement combinations that will challenge direction, velocity, and release. This class draws upon the teachings of Emmalena Fredrickson, Shay Kuebler, Antony Hamilton, and Martha Grahm.
*Rapid Covid-19 Tests will be provided for workshop participants and masks are encouraged but optional.
