Plain Language Description
The Spotlight’s Shadow is a story about two women who perform in the Ziegfeld Follies in the 1920s. They share a dressing room and become close friends. Over time, they fall in love. But the world around them does not accept their relationship. They try to keep their feelings a secret while chasing their dreams on stage. The play takes place in their dressing room over several years. It shows how they support each other, face hard choices, and fight to live honestly in a time that doesn’t allow them to be themselves.
