Lipsync Diaries of a Gay Boy
Lipsync Diaries of a Gay Boy is a coming out story and showcase of Performer's life at 14, a year spent holed up in the family computer room, recording dozens of lip sync videos to "Defying Gravity." Performer had a fervor to create, but in response to what? Is there a connection to be made between Performer’s commitment to his lip sync ritual and the ways of the man behind the self-made barricade—Performer's father, sipping apple cider in the kitchen? "Lipsync" is a story of being a gay boy and daring to pay attention to the man behind the curtain.
Watch TrailerLipsync Diaries of a Gay Boy is a solo show where the performer talks about the process of telling his friends and family he was gay at fifteen years old, while interspersing the story with video clips that he took on his computer of him lip synching to "Defying Gravity" from Wicked.
