Fringe 2026

The Review by Martin Dockery

Best new play of the year. Like a blend of SUCCESSION, BLACK MIRROR, GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS, and THE TWILIGHT ZONE, two lawyers clash over an inappropriate photo during an annual performance review. A comedic drama crackling with tension and suspense! From Martin Dockery, winner of 70 worldwide fringe awards, and creator of THE STAKEOUT (2025 & 2022), INESCAPABLE (2024), 1 SMALL LIE (2025), TRUTH (2024), EVERY GOOD STORY ENDS WITH ONE (2023), LONG NIGHT OF THE AMERICAN DREAM (2023), and FORBIDDEN CITY! (2026). Directed by Vanessa Quesnelle, starring Andrew Broaddus (GOOSE! 2025) & Martin Dockery. Over 18 years of touring, Dockery has won more than 70 worldwide awards.

Do you like Succession and/or Black Mirror? How about The Twilight Zone and/or the play Glengarry Glen Ross? Well, this play has a similar feeling to those shows. The Review is about two lawyers clashing over an inappropriate photo during an annual performance review. It’s about power, self-worth, masculinity, and artificial intelligence. It’s funny and dramatic, and you’ll be on the edge of your seat! We think it’s the best new play of the year. The play is written by Martin Dockery, who’s won over 70 worldwide fringe awards. He written and performed in many previous fringe shows, such as The Stakeout (2025 & 2022), Inescapable (2024), 1 Small Lie (2025), TRUTH (2024), Every Good Story Ends With One (2023), Long Night of the American Dream (2023), and Forbidden City! (2026). The Review is directed by Vanessa Quesnelle and stars Andrew Broaddus (Goose! 2025) and Martin Dockery.
