From the duo that brought you “Victor and Victoria's Terrifying Tale of Terrible Things” (Critic’s Pick of the Fringe, 2025), Eli Yaschuk & Rain Matkin are back with their own original play!
“In My Room” follows Eli, a man stuck in both life and bed, and his best friend/personal assistant/therapist/sidekick, Rain. Having not left his bed in three weeks, Eli takes the audience along on a musical journey as he navigates the ups and downs of hiding from the outside world. Eli’s room is a wacky, campy, imaginative place where anything could happen: dressing up as a nun, throwing a one man disco, and bursting into song. Accompanied by the incomparable Elaine Dunbar.

In my room is a musical about a man Eli and his friend and personal assistant Rain. Eli hasn't left his bed in 3 weeks but when the world is falling apart, there is no better place to hide than "in my room". Anything could happen there, like bursting into song, dressing up as nuns or throwing a disco.
