Punch Up brings the audience into a complicated breakup of one of the funniest comedy duos ever. Pat tries to remain funny without his partner. Meanwhile, a sad and lonely Duncan sees depressed and angry Brenda on the ledge of a building and makes a deal with her: if he can make her laugh, she won't jump off the building. The only problem is: he isn't funny. At all. Knowing Pat as the funniest person alive, Duncan kidnaps Pat to try and teach him to be funny to cheer Brenda up with humor and heart.
