Bat Boy: the musical
“Found in West Virginia Cave a half boy, half bat!” (Weekly World News) Bat Boy desperately wants to be accepted by the pious community. Will his insatiable bloodlust be his undoing as he drives Hope Falls into a stampede of fury and fear? Lock your barns, hide your cows, before this dark rock comedy carries you away. Discovered in a cave and adopted by a local family, Bat Boy, (Edgar), works hard to appeal to their “Christian Charity.” From the company that brought Evil Dead, Ride the Cyclone and American Idiot to the YEG Fringe.
Bat Boy, also known as Edgar, is found in a cave and adopted by a local family. He wants to fit in and be accepted by the people in his small West Virginia town. He tries hard to show kindness and earn their trust. But Edgar struggles to control his hunger for blood. At the same time, the townspeople are quick to blame him whenever something goes wrong. Will Edgar’s dangerous urges destroy his chance to belong, or will the fear and anger of the town turn against him first?
