Sample Song Cycle

Our story takes place on an island off the coast of Texas, nothing more than a sandbar really, a celebrated refuge for birds who, for one reason or another, cannot fly. The island faces total destruction as a catastrophic hurricane approaches, and all the flightless birds must find a way to safety.

Join us for the inception of “Island of Flightless Birds.” This performance is a sample song cycle, featuring select numbers from the new musical, currently in development. Stay after the performance to join in a guided talkback with dramaturg Dana Tanner-Kennedy to help the creative team continue to build this piece for its fully staged premiere. As an audience member, we appreciate your feedback and thoughts on the work.
